Jack Pearson
Singer, studio musician, songwriter, producer...these words only begin to describe Jack Pearson. But guitarist is what comes to most people’s minds when they hear his name. According to the Nashville Scene, he has “quietly earned a national reputation as the guitarist of choice when someone needs a mature, tasteful picker with a broad knowledge of blues, jazz, and soulful rock.” Blues Revue calls him a “world-class guitarist...Nashville’s most unassuming musician.” Rolling Stone Magazine brags on his “light touch and fluid, jazzy style...and dynamic slide playing.” And Real Blues Magazine hails him as “one of the best blues/rock guitarists on the scene today.”
Jack has been influenced by many styles of music which can be heard in the distinct soulful voice of his guitar. And his knowledge of the history of the musical styles he plays allows him to deliver a true to the tradition performance. His versatility and musicianship are astounding. He is just as comfortable playing blues as he is jazz. And he can rock out with the best of them. “Anyone who’s caught Pearson live knows he can flat burn,” says Music Row Magazine.
A native of Nashville, TN, Jack started playing professionally when he was fourteen years old. His first recording session was at fifteen. And after many years of honing his skills and paying his dues, he decided it was time to put his music down on tape. The result has been the release of four albums...with another always in the making. All four CD’s have received nothing but praise from critics, colleagues, and fans.
Guitar player, singer, studio musician, songwriter, producer...yes, these words only begin to describe Jack Pearson. He is a truly gifted musician whose offerings should not be overlooked.
“His tone and prowess are flawless...he picks with a playful inventiveness that I haven’t heard since Duane Allman...the name to watch out for in the future is Jack Pearson. No lie -- he’s that good.” Vibes Magazine
“If you can only check out one player, make that player Jack Pearson!” Vintage Guitar Magazine

Joshua Scott (Chicago)
Listening to Joshua Scott's debut CD for the first time one may contemplate, wonder, or even analyze, trying to place what they hear into a specific category of music. However, it is soon realized that categorization is least important when it comes to this album. Regardless of genre, style, or category (type) this music, simply put, is anointed. It clearly delivers the message of Christ's love, grace and mercy in such a plethora of ways that it is guaranteed to penetrate the heart of any and every one who hears it. Joshua Scott was born on March 12, 1986 into a musical, Christian family. His father, Dr.Ron Scott, a musician himself, had learned to play from an early age and had since toured the world with various artists. His mother, Dr. LeRhuchandre (Kookie) Scott found her musical niche in singing and recording Christian Country music, as well as being a part of the cast of various Chicago Theatre companies. Both his parents grew up in the church, both being the children of pastors. They would eventually found their own ministry in 2002, Beyond the Veil Ministries International ,where Joshua is the Minister of music. Naturally, Joshua found an affinity for music at an early age, first trying his hand at drums, at 8 Yrs. old, then piano and organ. After mastering these, to a pleasing level of expression as well as realizing his vocal talents, he went on to take violin lessons and taught himself to play the guitar. Intermittently, of course, he has become a skillful vocal stylist as well, which you will hear in his selections. As a lover of all art forms Joshua is also a 14 year vested member of the Screen Actors Guild. He has played major rolls, appearing in feature films and commercials, danced and is equally skilled with a paint brush and canvas, for leisure. Joshua's true love though, is MUSIC. In 2006 he heard the voice of God prompting him to begin work on his own project. Struggling to find his niche, he stayed in the family's home studio, recording music that he was never quite comfortable with. It was not until he gave his project over completely to God, and was willing to surpass what others thought his work should sound like, that Joshua began to hear the sounds from heaven that allowed him to write, sing, play, produce, and record this debut CD project. Enjoy and be transformed by the musical prophecy of Joshua Scott. http://cdbaby.com/cd/scottjoshua

Bobby Pizazz-Nashville
Singing since age 6, he continued to perform locally, until he was drafted to serve during Vietnam era 1970. After the service Bobby returned home, he traveled the country during his minstrel man phase, performing gospel in Shreveport LA, and Top-40 in South Dakota , Bluezy Pop in San Francisco and Michigan. In 1984, Pizazz and family moved to Nashville, and before the bags were unpacked, he had landed a role as an extra in the Patsy Cline biopic Sweet Dreams (where he spent most of his off-camera time staring at Jessica Lange).
In 1988, he worked on the production of several Voice of America special projects. In May 1991, his career came to an abrupt stop when a backstage mishap left him with a broken neck. 15 years later, he began to perform live shows again and is currently recording a new CD with the help of old friends, including Mel Torme’s legendary horn player Sherm Mitchell.

Tim Anderson
Tim Anderson has been singing since childhood! He sang with his family, in church groups, school choirs, a boys choir, community choirs, university choirs and in church, school and community musicals. He sang in a quartet with some friends and his older brother, Kendal, at churches and camps, and later in a duo with one of his younger brothers, Nathan, at churches, universities, coffee houses and festivals. He took piano lessons, experimenting with writing his own songs, and even learned to strum a few chords on the guitar, which he played when leading the singing at prison ministry meetings. In 1997, after having several songs recorded by The Continental Singers, Integrity Music and Truth, he surrendered to God's leading and moved to Nashville, TN to pursue a career as a singer-songwriter. Soon after, he had some songs recorded by Brentwood Music and Lifeway and also took a job as the keyboard player, singer, and, eventually, the music coordinator at his church. It was there that he met Heather Field, a successful Australian songwriter, who has become his main co-writer. Though he was on track to begin ministering to people through his music as an independent artist, God had trials for him to walk through and lessons for him to learn before that would be possible. Now he has more than songs to sing; but also a story to tell: The story of God's faithfulness in his life. Tim is presently working on a couple of albums is looking forward to traveling wherever the Lord leads him, singing his songs and telling the story Jesus has given him to share.

Kevin Reeves-Nashville
March 25th, 2009
A little over a month ago, I received an excited phone call from my friend and collaborative partner Julie Sparks. She had written a song called “Out of the Blue” and had this awesome vision to record it and sell it on iTunes, with proceeds going to the Northern Illinois Food Bank. This organization serves more than 10 counties in the Chicago Land area. The next day, she was on a plane to Nashville, and we set to work recording a rough demo. Throughout the next month, we lined up some players, a studio, and Grammy winning producer Glenn Rosenstein. On Friday March 13th, we laid down the real tracks. By Sunday night, we had mixes and were ready to move into the next phase. But during the weekend, our vision began to increase. We wanted to maximize our leverage and be able to sell more than just 2 edits of the same song. What if we included a bunch of remixes and called it a maxi single? I located 4 remixer/artists that I knew could do top quality work. They agreed to get on board. But we needed more. Here’s where you come in. We’ve decided that we want 3 more remixes, for a total of about 10 tracks on the maxi single. We’re opening this thing up to the general public to give 3 folks a chance to be on a national release that is currently garnering interest from companies and organizations such as Northern Illinois Food Bank
Harley Davidson, Jewel-Osco grocery stores, and Farm Aid, just to name a few. We are currently accepting submissions until midnight Sunday Apr 12 2009. The top 3 remixes will be featured on the Maxi single available on CD, iTunes, and possibly other digital distribution sites. Your name and link to your site will be featured in the digital booklet and any other materials relating to the single. All other remixes will be featured on the project’s official website. If you want to lend a hand for charity, while promoting your artistry, we invite you to download the remix files here.
In these trying economic times, Julie wanted to write a song that might be an anthem for those in need, and a battle cry for those willing to help. We hope that you would be willing to help, and we look forward to hearing your remixes.
Sincerely,
Julie Sparks and Kevin Reeves
Lara Landon
BIO
Perfect tension the pulling of the rope from both ends is one of the things that keep tightrope walkers balanced as they walk over the heads of their audience. Its much the same way with the music of burgeoning artist Lara Landon. She subtly invites the listener to sit in the middle of the moment, surprising them with an intriguing combination of opposites that pull with equal strength.
One of the first things you notice about her is her striking beauty, the result of an Arabian father and Sicilian mother. And in the midst of a lighthearted conversation, she'll let fly a piece of insight that reveals the depth of her introspection. She is both joyful and dark, easygoing and pensive, drawing from different sides of her personality to offer a fresh new perspective to the Nashville music scene.
After writing songs for four years and playing piano for twelve, Lara packed up her belongings and moved from southern California, to pursue a music business degree at the prestigious Belmont University. While most parents insist on a backup plan, Lara's parents were the ones who suggested the move, pushing her toward her dream and encouraging her to seize the opportunity to make an early mark on the industry.
Lara landed in Nashville at the age of nineteen without knowing a single person or having any idea how to pursue a career as a musician. But within a year, she had made coveted connections with many of the citys musical veterans, and she began writing with award winning songwriters like Christa Wells (Held, Natalie Grant) and Tiffany Lee of Plumb.
Much in the vein of Sarah McLachlan and Tracy Chapman, Lara writes from the darker shades of her personality. "I believe that its better to feel something strong than nothing at all. And in those places where I doubt, I am most reminded to reach out to God. When I work through my thoughts in my songs, it helps me to sort through the feeling and come back to the truth.''
Between her voice and her piano, she perfectly executes the music that she hopes will reach into other peoples lives and show them the love that God has for them. Pulling from the dark and pushing into the light, arms outstretched in both directions, Lara establishes that balance again the juxtaposition that makes her music feel moody and hopeful, joyful and broken, all at once. And it is a beautiful, perfect tension.

Hey friend,
Since you are considered "friend" to me, I thought you would like to know about what' s going on in my life, and I'd like to know what's happening in yours.
This past year I've seen highs like never before and lows. I remember last December, when I was coming to terms with the fact that my first album "Beloved" was not going to be released (which miraculously it is now through Provident this September 22nd) I remember lying on my couch thinking "will I ever feel better, I am just so blatantly sad and discouraged right now". I know it's not a death in the family or anything, but it's hard to think that everything you put so much hope and love into would just be aborted, nothing to show for it- it's really quite embarrassing.
Since then, I see how it was merciful on God's part to thwart my plans and show me there is more to this life than what I do, what I accomplish, but what matters is what I'm made of and what I carry within me. I was able to step away from music, find a true love for it in it's purity, I was able to breathe and even fall in love!
Now only a few months later, I can say that God really used this to stretch my faith in Him, used it to strip away more and more of any false or impure motives I had toward music, and through a trial gave me more freedom than I've ever felt.
I'm happy to share with you a cd I made recently called "Love/Majestic". It's a 5 song EP, produced by Mitch Dane. It has it's rock moments, it's tender moments (like the love song "I've Never Been) and it def. follows in line with all the things I've previously written- it's the best I have to offer, it's the most honest I can be and my hope is that you'll like, no, that you will love it, that it will mean something to you, that this music will be a companion to you as so many songs that I love have been companions to me.
All my love and all God's Peace,
Lara

This Day By Jim Evans
Thank you Lord for giving me this day And thank you Lord for making it this way My children they’re beside me and we’ve just kneeled down to pray I want to thank you Lord for giving me this day
Some days the sun is shining some days are filled with rain Some days we’re so happy, and some days we have pain Some days are filled with peacefulness, some days we go insane Some days are filled with thankfulness, and some days we cast blame.
I’ve held my mother crying as we watched my father die I’ve held my newest grand sons with tear drops in my eyes Thank you for the wife you gave so faithful and so true In wonder joy and sadness some how we’ve made it through
Thank you Lord for the valleys that you have walked me through Thank you for the wisdom and the grace you’ve given too Thank you for the hard times, the good and the in between Thank you Lord for loving me and the great friend you have been
I want to thank you Lord for giving me this day And thank you Lord for making It just your way My children they’re beside me, and we have just kneeled down to pray
I want to thank you Lord, Oh, so much Lord, for giving me this day
The Temporary People of Earth
By Jim Evans
How great the challenge of this new one
Who screams aloud against the midday Sun
He that screams and rages against the night
When his life is in just its morning light
His mother nuzzling him gently to her breast
To give him substance to meet this test
So short is the time given to this One
To dance and play and have great fun
To nuzzle the cup and make a toast
To sing and dance while the world plays host
A life beginning things to be done
A time to reasona race to be run
In so short a time this one sees
A lady that will take his heart –Please
She will take him and hold him
In her sweet caress –and will nuzzle him
Against her firm sweet breast
Like honey are the trappings of such a love nest
He like, those before him oh how he nuzzles back
And loves with a love that does not lack
He whispers –she sighs and breaths deep again
She touches his heart like it has never been
The love of a life time he now has found
To her and her only eternally he is bound
He offers his life to be with his sweet one
And begins to begin the work to be done
Buildings he will build oceans he will cross
Erecting monuments of stone – admired by the host
He will work till he aches – yet his eyes still glimmer
Building something, he hopes people will remember -
Decades come and decades go by
He sees his children born- his parents die
Life it comes and life it comes goes again
His constant in life is his God and his best friend
After so much life- his eye so soon grow dim
To the great surprise of all his mind slips now and then
His time has come to rage against his night
For him then to sleep that darkest night
As the sod is laid ore him in the ground
The silence lays shattered and broken by a sound
A new child screams and rages against his night
Another life begins to fight the good fight
Sojourners we are and all we must be
The temporary people of earth you see?
Good night

Stan Hedges (2009-2011)

| About Stan "The Man" Hedges |
..
"Two Mule Parade" is longtime Tennessee Blues Guitar-Slinger Stan “The Man” Hedges’ first solo project. For Hedges, now 52, it’s been a long time coming! However, from what people are exclaiming after hearing this 12 song project (11 originals, most written in the last two years), its well worth the wait!
Hedges, primarily known as a guitarist, has drawn accolades a-plenty over the years for his guitar work. Now with the release of “Two Mule Parade”, it’s very obvious that “The Man” is the complete package, a singer/songwriter, storyteller/guitarist that has paid his dues and developed an enamoring style that’s all his own.
This project in its entirety is a gem, with its own earthy provocative feel, mixing New Orleans grooves and Kansas City shuffles with “Fat Back” rockers, gritty storytelling and stunning guitar work. From the eerily nostalgic acoustic-swamp-jazz narrative of the title track “Two Mule Parade”, to the story of a misunderstood ex-con who probably won’t last much longer on the outside in “Angola Cowboy”, it’s plain to see that this CD is rich in character. “I Can Hear the Delta” is a picturesque longing for a rich musical culture that is slowly dying (reflected by the guitarist’s killer slide work). Slightly stepping out of his blues bag, the “Americana-esque” “Garden of Pain-Requiem for Billy Collins, Jr.” tells the heart-wrenching true story of Nashville’s Golden Boy boxing contender Billy Collins Jr.’s maiming in the ring of Madison Square Garden by a dishonest opponent’s manager in 1983. The guitar solo and the coda-solo on this song are very strong and emotional, with an almost epic quality. “Waiting for the Sky to Fall” is a John Lee Hooker type of blues with lyrics that stick; “Sometimes late at night, I hear you call my name, but it’s just the wind outside, bringin’ in the rain”. “Reach the Light-Tribute to Sister Rosetta Tharpe” is an up-lifting, hand-clapping Gospel vamp that slams home the quest of reaching the one true light. The grooving minor-blues “Won’t stand the Light of Day” is a scalding attack on racism-past and present-with some great Chromatic Harp lent by “Chicago Charlie” Fink. In the past, Hedges has exhibited a sly sense of humor and does not disappoint his listeners with the Jump Blues “Snappin’ Turtle Blues”, exhibiting more than an acquaintance with the West Coast swing style and to his better judgment, left clinkers and all in on this first- taker! “Butter Yo’ Biscuits takes you to the Delta with a smile on your face in this resonator slide number. The instrumental “Kentucky Skin Tag Salad” is a grooving “Organ Trio Type”, head-cutting contest where Stan and keyboardist Shannon Wickline absolutely “cut loose”! While not an original, the unique blues version of the traditional spiritual “Wade in the Water” should have most listeners out of their seats and singing with the choir!
This CD should thrill a lot of people searching for something different, but also for those longing for something satisfying and real. What is amazing to see and is really unheard of in this day and age, is the fact that every single song on the CD has received "Airplay in Rotation"!! Not one or two songs, but every song has appealed to the listeners, radio programmers and DJ's around the world. This is a tremendous testament to the legacy this CD is leaving in the minds and hearts of Blues, Americana, Root's, Gospel fans everywhere!!

Larry Davis

Larry Davis Started Singing At Age 7; First Song To Sing In Church Was " Into My Heart"
Larry and his wife Sonda, started early in their marriage singing together and continued until he joined the Watchmen Quartet. Larry sang with the Watchmen for 8 years with a dear friend, Larry Laird. Then he and Gail Nelson formed the Crownsmen Quartet and enjoyed singing with them for many years.
Larry managed the finances for both groups and wrote several songs while singing with both quartets.
Larry took off from the quartet style singing for several years but continued to write songs. He wrote his first song in 1980, “Jesus Is My Pilot” This song was released to Columbine Records and was featured on an album showcasing songwriters.
He continued to do solo engagements until he and Tim Wilson (who played piano for the Crownsmen) formed Foundation Music Ministry in 2002. Larry and Tim continue to do the gospel duo format as their schedules allow. The first radio single was released in 2003 titled, “God Is Only A Prayer Away.” An original song he co-wrote with Tim Wilson.
Larry uses his talents for the Lord by singing and writing songs. One can be sure that every time he completes a song it does come from the heart. Through his music the message is very clear. His desire is to uplift an individual, re-establish a love for the Lord or bring about knowledge of our Lord through his music. To his credit he has the talent and the ability to do this. That is God Given Talent. His music has taken him to churches and gospel music venues in Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida.
Current opportunities are rapidly moving his solo career to a higher level. Most recently Larry was invited to join ranks with Nashville Christian Writers Association and Christian Songwriters and Musician International. (CSMI). This places Larry on rotation for numerous gospel music venues in Nashville, TN.
Larry is currently working on a 3rd CD project that will be featuring all original songs written by him. He records at Echo Sound Recording Studio in Pensacola, FL. Randy Shelnut of the nationally known “Dixie Echoes Quartet” is his producer. A late fall release date on his latest project is planned. Larry and Randy have been very good friends for over 25 years and has mentored him in his singing and songwriting and stage presence. The website for Larry Davis Music is: larrydavis.org.

Every little girl dreams of growing up and finding their Prince Charming. Page after page of fairytales that we sit and listen to as children. Prince Charming rides on his white horse to find his Princess, and rescues her from something. Then within days they are married and live Happily Ever After. I am just a small town girl from Indiana who grew up listening to fairytales. And I too am hoping that my Prince Charming comes along sooner than later. But even though my Prince Charming has not come into the picture yet, the Prince of Peace has. His name is Jesus, in 1999, gave my heart and life to Him and forever I am changed. He took away my sin and shame and He has made me whole. I wonder do you know Him today? If you don’t I would love to introduce you. He’s The Reason I Sing and the reason why I packed up my hopes and dreams to move to Nashville in 2006. Now I am here and the Lord has blessed me to be able to bring this CD to you. Currently, Lisa performs in coffee shops, both in Nashville and in the northeast as well as area feativals, nursing homes and churches.
Influenced by Olivia Newton John, Sarah Mclaughlin, Jewel, Natalie Merchant, Shania Twain, Eva Cassidy and Madonna, her monthly shows at Caffeine’s continue to draw a large crowd while maintaining an intimate setting; a venue Lisa enjoys most.

I try to write music as an honest expression of my faith, both the joys and struggles. When we read the Psalms, there is a wide range of emotion represented, from cries for forgiveness, to shouts of praise. In my music I wish to speak to the truths of our imperfect humanity all the while weaving God\'s remarkable grace and love in our lives as believers.
Tim Maggart

http://www.timmaggart.com
Singer-songwriter Tim Maggart was destined to be a musician. "All of my childhood memories are filled with song," says Tim. Born in the hills of Middle Tennessee, Tim comes from a lineage of musicians. Both of his parents carried the gift of strong vocals and the ability to play piano. Growing up, Tim was influenced by so many musicians, from classical Mozart, to easy listening John Denver and Dan Fogelberg along with many of the great Rock artist's. The taste for a variety of music is probably what has made Tim such an eclectic songwriter. Tim is a story teller that blurs the lines of musical genre, but is firmly grounded in his faith and values in whatever he writes.
He developed his voice at a young age, singing with Arizona's prestigious All State Choir for several years, and earning a vocal scholarship to Northern Arizona University. However, Tim followed a different path, choosing to become a physical therapist. He eventually received a degree in psychology at St. Martin's College and earned a Master's in Physical Therapy at Baylor University. Tim was also a member of the armed forces - during his time in the Army, he worked up in rank from Private to Captain, and was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal by the Department of the Army.
Tim's story is inspirational - his many achievements would not have been predicted early on. "You would be surprised at the rebellious young teenager I once was," he says. He is sure his teachers would have voted him least likely to succeed. Tim points to his strong relationship with God for turning his life around. "One of my favorite bible verses is where the apostle Paul says ‘If any man is in Christ Jesus he is a new creation, old things pass and new things come". This is true in Tim's life and since Jesus came into his life, things have never been the same.
Tim loves to actively participate in ministry. This passion has led Tim to minister in prisons in different parts of the country, to orphanages and pueblos throughout Mexico, and various cities around the nation. He has assisted in new church plants, and considers physical therapy and singing to be vocational ministries. "Life itself can be a spiritual service of worship, according to Romans 12, and I desire for my life to reflect that philosophy." Tim says.
Tim loves a good challenge and he feels that nothing is more challenging than the craft of writing a good song. His first solo album, "The Man Within", was sold in four countries in 2003... And his most recent project "Hope Has A Voice" was released in 2009. This cd is a collection of songs that reflect Tim's eclectic writing style, and it is full of honesty and hope. "I believe that current events in our country have revealed just how starved Americans are for hope... and my songs point toward the source from which I draw my hope, my Heavenly Father." Tim's music tends to be deep in thought with melodies that can carry the listener away. He is a member of the Nashville Songwriters Association International, the Songwriters Guild, and the Gospel Music Association.
Tim feels privileged to have been called to the healing profession of Physical Therapy. His desire is that his music will be an extension of that calling. "My hope is for the spirit and soul of those who listen to my music to be fed, uplifted and if needed, gently moved toward healing through the power of the God who has inspired it all" says Tim
Tim currently resides in Alabama with his wife and best friend, Kathy, and their two children, Krista and Caleb, who are the pride and joy of his life. Tim currently serves as Worship Leader for Calvary Chapel of Columbus, and looks forward to his upcoming "Hope Has A Voice" tour. He is available for concerts, men's and family retreats, and keynote performances for professional organizations.

Michael Furchert
Christian speaker and pianist from former Communist East Germany
brings inspiring messages to America.
From the Nazi regime of Hitler, Germany, through WW11, from the rise of Communism through its celebrated fall, three generations of Michael's family held true to their faith throughout turbulent times of European history.
As a 17-year-old teenager, Michael took part in the Peaceful Revolution that started within the East German church and brouht down the Berlin Wall.
He challenges Christians in America to remember the strength we have to impact lives, transform our society, and change history. '
If you want information on his ministry:
He's appeared on national and international television, and has had hundreds of engagements in the USA. He's had three articles in "Decision" magazine of the Billy Graham Ev. Assn. and also leads Christian students to Europe on education faith tours.
Excerpt from Michael..
"The Great Commission was not given to politicians or governments but to the Christian Church to transform our society from within, impact lives and make a difference."
"If the minority of Christians in East Germany, by uniting in faith and prayer could bring down the Berlin Wall and change history, how much more can we do as Christians under freedom if we started to make real with our faith."

Harold's Web site: http://www.haroldrayford.com/
Harold Rayford Always There
Harold Rayford is an anointed saxophonist who plays boldly for God and encourages souls in the process. This Stellar Award nominated musician, songwriter, married father of two and pastor of Faith Hope and Love Worship Center in Madison, Wisconsin, has returned after a ten year absence from the recording scene, the year of his 30th anniversary as a musician, with his best work yet, a Gospel Jazz double CD, Always There that celebrates God’s faithfulness and everlasting love.
God, church and gospel reigned supreme in the Rayford household laying the foundation for young Harold’s Gospel Jazz career and ministry. He remembers, “Growing up I listened to Gospel but I didn’t develop an appreciation of Jazz music until I was in high school.I also listened to a variety of artists, including Earth Wind and Fire, Parliament, the Barkays, Cameo, Aretha Franklin, James Cleveland and different Gospel artists of that day.Andrea Crouch was a huge Gospel influence on me!Once I got to high school I listened to Jazz artists such as Charlie Parker Cannon Ball Adderly, John Coltrane and Grover Washington, Jr.This was before the days of Smooth Jazz.”
While some instrumentalists in Gospel would rather lay claim to being an inspiring Jazz or Smooth Jazz artist, as opposed a Gospel Jazz artist in order to be more mainstream, Rayford proudly proclaims his allegiance to his beloved genre.“I view my playing as a service to God.It is a privilege and something that I owe to him.So my music has more of a Gospel flavor than a Jazz flavor.
Although he wasn’t recording over the last ten years, Rayford grew leaps and bounds as a pastor, moving from Associate Pastor in Ft. Worth to Pastor of Faith Hope and LoveWorshipCenter in Madison, Wisconsin. He also ministered with his saxophone constantly. So when Tyscot asked him to return and record a new project, he was well prepared and his ministry was more powerful than ever.Evidence of that is found on his new release, Always There. It is a spiritually moving Gospel Jazz jewel.
Produced by Antoine Chambers, with songs written by both Chambers and Rayford, disc one features 11 new songs, while disc 2 is a set of 9 fan favorites handpicked by Rayford.Rayford says, “One of the unique things about this project is that there are no background vocals in the songs. We did some very familiar songs that are so familiar I don’t think they need vocals.Always There is a project that a person can listen to in any environment. You can play it at work, in your car, while you’re studying or just relaxing.Several of the songs are so familiar that everybody knows them. You’ll find yourself humming along and you become the background vocal.”
Harold Rayford put his heart, soul and thirty years of music ministry into Always There. He espouses, “I really hope this music to ministers to the hearts, minds and souls of everyone who listens to it.And I pray that it becomes a conduit or mood setter. So that whenever anyone needs to hear from God that they can put this CD onand just go to that private place…that secret place and commune with God.This is my prayer.”

Morgann McClanahan-April 2010

| About Morgann McClanahan |
|
Tastefully blend these ingredients with a flavorful combo of crafty songwriting and natural musicianship, and chances are, you'll cook up an eclectic artist like Morgann McClanahan. The only daughter of a Virginia coal miner, Morgann grew up surrounded by the sounds of Appalachian church music, yet intrigued by rockers like Sheryl Crow and Alanis Morrisette, discovered through her hometown radio station. At the age of 10, she began to pick up a pen to write songs; two albums and countless compositions later, the result is still uniquely audible. Evidenced by songs like "Abundantly", she fuses the sweet sound of her southern roots with a vocal prowess that's pop-friendly enough to catch listeners' attention far beyond the realm of the Christian community. Whether you're booking a small club, large auditorium or anything in between, there's no doubt that Morgann can satisfy your hunger for great music. | |

Matthew Fogle-April 2010
With confidence and a leap of faith, Matthew Fogle entered the Christian rock realm in 2009 after playing the secular indie rock scene for eight years. Fans are now describing his music as an edgy rock twist to contemporary Christian - Live meets Chris Tomlin. The excitement is growing, and Matthew is stacking the cards to play in and around Louisville, KY, and eventually (God willing) a regional circuit in 2010.
Matthew's latest EP, Plea:491, was recorded in November of 2009 at the awesome Dark Horse Studios in Franklin, TN, and produced by Chris Mara. Five
original Christian rock songs decorate the EP, each exalting Jesus Christ in its own unique way. Prayerfully, the music will touch the lives of many people. Promotion and marketing of the EP is ongoing through music stores in Louisville, at live shows, and online at matthewfogle.cc, CDBaby, iTunes, and Amazon, to name a few.
The journey towards Plea:491 began over 10 years ago when - with the same musical knowledge as an oil can - Matthew started singing melodies onto a cassette tape (yes, a cassette tape). The tape was soon full of original material, and it became a catalyst for a future songwriter and performer, and inspired him to buy his first acoustic guitar. Since then, Matthew has played in hundreds of shows (400+), both in bands and in his solo career.
Now it's all in the hands of God, for God is at the center of Matthew's life. "Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness You have done marvelous things, things planned long ago." - Isaiah 25:1. Enjoy the music, and God bless!

Root Road LLC

To lead our listeners to connection, security and life in Christ.
Root Road's Christian pop sound blends melodic vocal harmonies, with familiar elements found in both past and present popular music to create a unique and uplifting sound.
The band's self produced sophomore EP entitled "I Am Here" is reminiscent of an earlier era, with familiar influences from popular artists of the 70's. In keeping with their upbeat music, the group chose to write optimistic songs that provide a refreshing alternative to popular music that is normally birthed out of negative feelings, broken relationships, and selfish behavior. In direct contrast with this trend, Root Road's heartwarming, God-inspired lyrics convey a positive outlook on life with songs about unfailing love, hope, peace and answers to life's many problems.
All brothers, the members of Root Road were born into an interracial family; thus their multicultural look. The band believes their global look has allowed their music to transcend racial lines. In a world of different cultural interpretations, the band feels the need to share their music with anyone who will listen, as opposed to conforming to one ethnic group or another.
Family has and continues to be a strong influence on their lives and songwriting. Originally from Lorain, Ohio, the brothers grew up in a musically oriented Christian home where singing, songwriting and performing were all seen as an expression of love and worship to God. The youngest three of seven siblings, each member of Root Road makes their own unique contribution to song development creating a fusion of rock, pop and soul in their music and style.
John, the oldest of the three, plays rhythm guitar, shares lead vocals and introduces modern rock influences to the mix. Anthony supports the group with backup vocals and catchy keyboard, piano, and organ. Nathanael, the youngest, plays harmonica and tambourine and injects everything from a retro soul to a playful pop. He also shares the lead vocals with John.
The brother's musical journey as a group began early in the 2000's when under the management of their father, a former professional entertainer; they formed a band called G3 BAND. Their band initially performed at local festivals, schools, and regional events including performing at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland as a finalist in the Northeastern Ohio Christian Talent Competition.
After each of the band members completed college they decided to take a step in faith, and relocate to Nashville, Tennessee under the new band name, Root Road. This move would allow the band to transition into a full-time ministry which would broaden their audience and reach out to more than those in their hometown.
The name Root Road is derived from a couple of elements. Literally, it was the street that all of them grew up on, but to the band it has become more than just familiar stomping grounds. To them Root Road symbolizes the spiritual quest to find connection, security and life.
Together Root Road's clever fusion of different musical styles, with a Christ centered message provides a refreshing alternative that is both entertaining and encouraging. Their original music has a message that speaks to any audience searching for answers. If you've ever felt like an underdog, or have wrestled with identity and self esteem issues; the members of the band invite you to join them on their journey to find acceptance and direction on Root Road.

Tane Miller
Tane' (pronounced ten-ay) is honored to lift up the name of Jesus in worship and song. Her beautiful soprano voice has litterally taken her around the world touching many audiences by ministering in churches, conferences, and outreaches in the U.S.. and many countries, including, France, Germany, Hungary, Romania,Sweden, Haiti, Scotland, England,Ireland,Africa, and the Arctic of Canada, to the Inuit Eskimos. Tane' conducts concerts full of joy, and hope as she shares of her missions work in other nations, and her miraculous testimony of how she came to know Christ in a restaurant.
Tane' has released 2 CD albums and is presently working toward her third CD project called" Healer Of My Heart". At the tender age of 3, Tane's family discovered she was singing harmony as the family sang together. At the age of 12 she sang solos at school assemblies and special events. She began singing in bars and night clubs as young as 16, and had her own successful regional band at 17. She also sang back up in recording studios.Coming from a broken home and a worldly past It was Christian music on the radio that first softened her heart to the Gospel.
Tane' was gloriously saved at the age of 21, and began sharing her faith and leading many to Christ in outreaches and street ministry. Before answering the call to full time ministery, She helped lead worship in her church for 6 years. She also recieved classical training in voice performance, and opera at Huntingdon College.
In 1990, Tane' joined Nancy Kirchhoff, an international speaker, missionary, and Bible teacher, in Scotland to recieve on the job missions training. They were some of the first to freely take the Gospel into eastern Europe When the wall came down. Tane' says,"I will never forget sharing and singing in underground churches and meeting pastors who were once imprisoned and beaten daily for their faith. It changed my life! " They continue to travel full time as a ministry team.
The Lord is directing Tane' to devote more time to doing concert ministry in the U.S. A portion of the proceeds from these concerts will go toward the support of International mercy ministries and missions that she has worked with, prayed with, and seen first hand. These include: childrens homes, rescuing orphans, feeding programs, drug rehab, rescuing prostitutes, and Bible teaching in isolated regions of the world. I pray we all catch the heartbeat of God for missions!! Blessings, Tane'

I want to hear so clearly from heaven and then pen that clarity, bringing forth a new/pure/ or transformational sound/song that causes the harvest to come in, the Believer to have emotional/soul healing, and or deliverance if needed, and the Kingdom of God to be built and prepared for Jesus\'s coming again. I am a Jewish Believer and the restoration of the Jewish people back into the Body of Christ is never far from my heart and mind, even if a song is not specifically about that.

Amy Savin (Canada)
About Amy
BIO:
Amy Savin is a singer-songwriter from Toronto, Ontario. While music has always been a passion for Amy, during her last year of high-school in 2004 Amy suffered from vocal nodules and couldn’t speak for nearly six months. It was through these darker times that Amy’s song-writing became more profound, and urgent. She wondered if she would ever be able to sing again or see her songs come to life. After a long journey towards recovery however, she was able to record a demo with some school friends in 2006, which landed in the hands of producer Jason A. Chapman from Boreal Forest Music Productions. Jason encouraged Amy to pursue a career in music and together they co-produced a 5-song EP, which was released in March 2009.
Apart from these songs being featured on Indie film, Christian radio & TV, one of the songs, “Won My Heart” won first prize on a singing competition hosted by The Drew Marshal Show. The celebrity panel of judges consisted ofJennifer Paige, Tal Bachman, Laila Biali, James Linderman, and the Grand finale judge –radio host, Delilah. Through the show Amy received useful feedback from the judges, free recording time, and gained exposure to key players in the music industry.
In June 2011, Amy released her first full-length album titled, Skylines, with platinum producers such as John Nathaniel (Montreal, Qc) and Ed Cash(Nashville, TN). Skylines received two nominations in the 2011 GMA Covenant Awards. Over the years Amy has collaborated with various artists includingLeigh Nash (formerly from Six Pence None the Richer), Jacob Moon, Jodi King, and worship leader, Mia Fieldes (Hillsong). Amy’s style combines elements of folk and pop, and vocally she has been compared to artists such asSarah Mclachlan, Joy Williams, and Colbie Caillat.

Evan Morse
My name is Evan Morse. I have a passion to write and produce music for God and His people. I have been involved with worship leading for about 10 years and I developed a desire to write as well. I heard great things about CSMI from a couple of friends who have been attending the meetings. I have since wanted to become part of CSMI to meet other believers who share similar interests and desires of writing music for the glory of God. I served as a music director and worship leader for Saddleback Church in Southern California for the last 5 years. 2 months ago I moved to Nashville and have been attending Crosspoint Church, in Nashville, TN
My goals for writing are to become more skilled at the craft, meeting other writers, and glorifying God. I would absolutely love to be part of CSMI and I look forward to growing as individual by being a member.
I completed my first worship album this past summer. Here is a myspace link with all of my songs.
Kelly Reeves
I write from Holy Spirit inspiration only-I had tried to \"force\" song writing and it just will not work. My hope is that every song I write touches someone and gives courage, hope, and strength in our daily battle to remain faithful to the One who is faithful to us.
Logan Schmidt
At 15 years of age Logan desires to honor God in Christian music ministry and to use his gifts for God's glory.
Brad McGill
Years ago when I was sitting on my sofa reading a daily devotional I heard the words, " You can do this." I began to argue with God like Moses on the Mount. I told Him in no uncertain terms that I can write praise but I can not write exhortive words. " Then I heard, " Trust me and I will give you the words." That night I was woken up at exactly 4:18 A.M. and that became the norm for many months. I would roll over, glance at the clock and see that it was exactly 4:18 A.M and simply say, " Here I am Lord talk to me." Sometimes words would fly out so fast I could barely catch them. After five notebooks. I asked the Lord what I should do with the teachings and I heard the words, " Brad you can walk all around the world without even leaving your office." So hear I am sending words to encourage and lift up the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. May He be glorified in all that I do. Luke 4:18-19 The spirit of the Lord is on me, because He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind,to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lords favor. While I have written many devotions on my website straighttotheheart.blogspot.com God has also given me the lyrics to many songs. It is my hope that some of those songs will come to life from words on a page to music that touches the heart and changes life for the lost. Here is an example of one of those songs:

Daira Curran
Daira is a Contemporary Christian singer/songwriter who currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee.
Originally from Massachusetts, Daira has been exposed to all parts of the world.
Growing up, she attended over fifteen different schools by the age of sixteen and is proud to call Massachusetts, Texas,
Connecticut, Maryland, New York, Florida, Tennessee, Italy and Spain part of her journey.
Living life, often out of suitcases, Daira learned how to embrace change and connect with people quickly.
She claims, “When you have never been put in a limiting environment, you think of the world as one big possibility
to make a real difference.
My childhood imagination and my adulthood faith helped influence who I am today.
” Daira uses her journey as a roadmap for singing and writing about topics like: God’s love, grace, and learning to trust.
She understands these themes will never grow dull or stale, especially if you understand who the Source is – Jesus Christ.
When you hear Daira, you will agree: never has music and faith intertwined so beautifully.
Here’s how to learn more about Daira and her music:

Daira's heart is to reach many for Christ through her music....
I want to lift high the name of Jesus and bring about a hunger for divine things to this generation
through the love and grace that can only come from the loving arms of the Savior.
I want to sing and travel to many nations bringing healing and deliverance by using my voice and my heart's message
as a weapon of righteousness that will cut through addictions and bring people to see God's goodness.
I want to write, sing, and communicate God with as many people as possible til my dying breath.
Tara Danae Crawford
"I work with over a thousand voices each year. It is rare to find the depth of tone and artistry that the listener will find in Tara Danae. Her voice washes over you like warm chocolate, with delicately sculpted phrasing--just dirty enough."James R. Wigginton Master Vocal Coach
R&B, Pop singer/songwriter Tara Danae possesses an unusual depth and maturity that reaches beyond melody and lyrics. Her music has been called “Blue-Eyed Soul,” reflecting her rich, colorful voice and “old soul” persona. An accurate sound bite would describe her style as rough, warm and full-bodied – a complete package of powerhouse talent and emotional brilliance.
Music has been Tara Danae’s constant companion since childhood. It started with garage shows and a karaoke machine, and blossomed into a childhood career in musical theatre, competitions, weddings, Major League Baseball games and studio work in Los Angeles. Tara grew up just outside of San Diego, California, but most would not peg her as a typical “California girl.” Instead of going to the beach on weekends, Tara spent most of her time in rehearsals.
She continued pursuing her talent and passion through high school and made the leap to accomplish a music career by moving to Nashville; attending and graduating Belmont University’s Commercial Music program. While there she focused on honing her sound, songwriting skills, and understanding the workings of the music industry.
Tara’s experience and credentials are only part of her relationship with music: it was (and is) her escape, her therapy. Surviving tough challenges in her childhood can be credited to her bond with music and her friendship with the Lord. To this day, it remains her method of working out her identity and beliefs. Though others describe Tara as “having it all together,” she humbly argues that she puts the problems and shortcomings in her music. In it, she works out life’s frustrations, and then laughs about them, remaining positive and upbeat. Her unique, straightforward approach to songwriting sets her apart from so many who use florid language and nebulous phrasing. Tara is flatout and says it like she means it. You can sense the realness behind her songs; no smoke blowing, nothing artificial.
"Those who know me know that I tell it like it is. I've never been able to say things in a sugar-coated, fancy manner. That's just not me. My music is no different. I like to be real with people and talk about things that most might sweep under the rug. My hope is to write about the parts of my faith that we all struggle with but are sometimes afraid to talk about."
A tenacious, self-propelled artist, Tara Danae will be one of the few who bring a message of hope to a mainstream audience. “I am determined to break the barrier; I can bring a mainstream sound to both markets. Don’t tell me it can’t be done. Nothing is impossible for God.”

Peter Kendall Warren
I\'m first and foremost a producer, and as such I work with songwriters of all types. I do not refer to myself as a \"Christian Song Writer,\" but rather a Christian, who happens to write songs. My goal is to love well those that I work with, Christian or otherwise. The craft of writing songs is incidental to that practice.
Nathan W. Clark
Its my goal as a christian music writer to spread the message that God has given me. This is a message of hope, love and restoration. I consider my calling to be that of a preacher with a different type of pulpit.
Bill Fithian
To write music that will aid in the worship of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ and which will aid in the evangelization of the world through music. I hope someday, if the Lord tarries and I am long passed that my music will become part of the archive of great hymns and spiritual songs of our forebears.
